Launch Plan – 6 Components for Its Success

Launch Plan

Having a launch plan is part of being in business. Whenever you release a new product, service, or promotion there’s a step-by-step process to follow. If you plan ahead, you’ll be in good shape to have a successful launch. But what do you plan for? The following 6 components must be part of your planning process.

1. Timing

When are you going to launch? Once you have a launch date in mind, work backwards from that date to plan your pre-launch efforts. Pre-launch includes your marketing, and building excitement for launch day.

2. Launch Plan Goals

What do you want to achieve with your launch? You can start with general goals. For example, “I want to make more sales and boost my profits.” However, it’s important to convert your goals into measurable goals. For example, “I want to increase my sales by 10%.”

3. Packaging

What exactly are you launching? What are the components of your launch package? For example, will you release a new online course? With that course you could also include supporting checklists, worksheets, templates and more. Plan, in advance, what you’re going to include in your launch to make it unique and valuable to your audience.

4. Price

What are you going to charge for your product or services? Take a look back at your package and make sure you’re pricing your materials competitively. Research your competition. Research the cost of the items that you’re offering.
If you’re partnering with others to create a joint venture package, then your team will need to create a price that you can agree on. Create a price that will make you and your prospects happy.

5. Delivery

How will your customers receive their products or services? Consider the best and easiest ways to deliver your items. Keep in mind that if your customers have to jump through multiple hoops to access your materials, they may decide it’s not worth it. Make sure the delivery process is streamlined and simple.

6. Your Team

Finally, decide who you need on your launch team. Do you need a copywriter? A graphic designer? What about a virtual assistant who has launch experience? Make a list of the people you’ll need to help you pull it all together successfully.

A launch plan is a process. It requires several steps and careful planning. The good news is that once you’ve been through the launch process, you can use your plan as a template for future launches. Plan to succeed.
On a final note, there are launch plans available to purchase or download. Have you used a launch plan and, if so, what did you use and how did it work out?
