How to Set Up a Sales Page

A sales page is a stand-alone page created with one particular purpose in mind, which is to secure sales for your product. This recipe will show you how you can set up a page that will create sales for your product.

  1. Logins for the following:
  2. Web Form
    • To create a form, you need to have the required fields:
      • First Name
      • Email Address
  3. Email Copy
  4. Webpage Copy
  5. Product
  6. Product Cover Image



  1. Create a document to save the important links:
    • Sales Page URL
    • Link to “Thank you for your purchase” page URL
    • Download link to the product
    • URL or form code for the web form
  2. Upload product to hosting site - copy link onto the document.
  3. Create form:
    • Login to ecommerce or shopping cart service provider
    • Create form with contact information and payment information
    • Save URL or form code to put on sales webpage.
  4. Create a thank you page for the product.
  5. Create the sales webpage. Copy paste the web copy you’ve prepared in strategic positions on the webpage. There must be a heading, a body containing the benefits of getting the product, a buy button, a call to action, and an image of your product.
  6. Copy the webpage URLs to the document.


Taste Test

  1. Put your product in your shopping cart service provider in test mode if possible.
  2. Go to your sales page and click the buy now button. See if it will lead you to the shopping cart and buy the product from there.
  3. You must get an email from your shopping cart service provider about your invoice as well as the download link so you can get what you paid for.
  4. If everything is okay, you can activate the product.
